Selby and Yafai face GB 'box-off'

Khalid Yafai Yafai missed the 2010 Commonwealth Games with an elbow injury Great Britain boxers Andrew Selby and Khalid Yafai face a best-of-three "box-off" to decide who will claim the flyweight place at the 2012 Olympics.

The amateur fighters will clash at the Great Britain Championships in Bethnal Green, London on 11 and 12 November.

If required, a third meeting will take place at the Olympic test event at the ExCel Centre at the end of November.

They both earned the Olympic qualifying standard by reaching the quarter-finals of the World Championships in October.

Welshman Selby just missed out on a world title - and with it automatic qualification - when he was narrowly beaten in the final in Azerbaijan, but he did win the European crown in June.

Yafai, from Birmingham, represented Team GB at the Beijing Olympics but lost in the second round to Cuba's Andris Laffita.
