Two in and one out at Ebbsfleet

Liam Daish Manager Daish has had a busy week in the transfer marketEbbsfleet United have re-signed Neil Barrett and taken Nathaniel Pinney on a month's loan.

However, forward Scott Ginty has been released after two years at the club.

Midfielder Barrett, 29, was a member of United's FA Trophy winning side in 2008 and rejoins them after most recently playing for Havant & Waterlooville.

Pinney, 20, is a striker who has joined on loan from Crystal Palace and he is set to make his debut in Saturday's Blue Square Premier game at Newport.

Manager Liam Daish told BBC Radio Kent: "I got a phone call from Neil Barrett, (and) I said come down and get your name in people's minds again. Fitness-wise he looks decent, he knows the club, we know him and he had success here when he was here.

"He's been in a successful side at York, they got to the play-offs, he's developed and he'll bring something different."

Pinney, Meanwhile, has previously had spells at Dagenham & Redbridge and Braintree Town, and Daish believes he will be a valuable addition to his strike force..

"He's something different, he's got an eye for a goal and that's what we're looking for at the moment. I've done my homework on him, I spoke to the lads at Dagenham and we are hoping it will suit us as well as Nathan, where he's getting first team football rather than watching other people play on a Saturday," said Daish.

"But I've had to let Scott Ginty go. It was difficult but it's where we are at the moment. I wish him all the best and when he gets fit he will score goals wherever he goes.

"We had to come to an arrangement this year because of his injury record, he turned an ankle on the first pre season trip, then he pulls up with his other hamstring and we couldn't keep going on and on.

"Scott realised what the score was, and we've kept the door open if he wants any treatment to help him in the best way we can."
